Commission work.
Description was of a colourful mediterranean-like city adorned with stones and jewels with a militaristic citadel resembling a giant set of teeth built into a mountain.
Painted it all in one layer to get more of a traditional feel.

Final

Thumbnail exploration. Knew I wanted a view up the citadel.

Went for the middle thumbnail but ditched the statues and added one in the middle ground, but purposefully made it not very visible.
